John Orchard, who had been a recurring cast guest in 1972-73 as "Ugly John," appears as an MP in this episode.
Though he had already appeared on the series as Sergeant Rizzo, G.W. Bailey does not play that character in this episode (likely filmed earlier than the others, though shown later). He is billed in the credits as "The G.I." and clearly he and Major Winchester have never met before since Bailey's character does not know who Winchester is.
Sirri Murad appears as the Turkish soldier. He previously portrayed an angry Turk in Season 3 episode "A Rich Full Day"
Hawkeye refers to Muldoon as "the man in the gray flannel fatigues," referring to the Sloan Wilson novel "Man in the Gray Flannel Suit."
Winchester states he graduated Harvard in the class of 1943. Winchester also states this in the previous season when the Art History major from Yale wants to get back to Ohio.
