Max makes his only appearance in the second "remodeled" half of the season. The episode was held over from the first half of the season, when Max was a regular recurring character. Joe Sirola as Dominick has one sequence inserted at the beginning of the episode, which was put in because Sirola was a regular recurring star in the second half of the season when the episode aired.
Joe's apartment is a redress of the set used for Max's hotel suite in "The Manhunters". Most noticeable is the mustard-colored carpeting on the stairs leading down from the door, and the placement of the bedroom in Max's suite.
The recurring uncredited female extra makes here a very brief appearance as the ship's banker, counting money. (It appears the mystery blonde also did so in The Manhunters.)
The exterior shot of the "Rossmore Arms" where Joe is living is the same exterior that was used for Diane's apartment in "The Manhunters".
The float equipped helicopter was is a Bell 47G, one of the most popular civilian helicopters. 5,600 were built.
