The biplane which Wilson MacLeish takes off in at the beginning is an older variant of the Pitts Special, the first aircraft specifically designed for aerobatic maneuvers and also one of the most popular remote-control aircraft model planes, explaining why the exploding plane looked so much like the plane he took off in: both were exactly the same plane, only in different scales.
The revolver Carlton uses at the end is a target variant of the Colt Peacemaker called the Bisley, named for the well-known shooting match in England where it made its debut. It is a fairly rare piece today.
Donnelly Rhodes (Wilson Arthur MacLeish) and Roscoe Lee Browne (Carlton) appeared on SOAP (1977-1981) together.
