Magnum states that the dot matrix output came not necessarily from the same printer, but from the same computer. This is impossible to determine, as the fonts for the old impact printers resided on the printer, not the computer. The person operating the computer could choose one of around a half dozen type styles, but the actual look of the fonts were determined by the printer manufacturer, not the computer or the word processing app. The same type style (such as "sans serif") could come out looking short and wide on an Epson but more square on an HP.
