Malcolm becomes a man, a burning man
safenoe30 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Season 7 starts with a bang with the family going to Burning Man, and it's unforgettable. Malcolm has sex (not sure if he was a virgin prior to that), and Reese is hilarious as he accidentally has the crowd chant "Burning Van! Burning Van!". You have to see it to believe it.

This is the final season of Malcolm in the Middle. A few years later Bryan Cranston would become Walter White.

I wonder about the relationship between Polly and Abe because nothing's been mentioned since the racially groundbreaking episode Polly in the Middle.

Refreshing and funny

After some real big season 6 stinkers (Motivational Speaker, Stilts, Ida's Dance) this episode is a refreshing start to the show's final season.

This one ended up being a surprise considering its bizarre premise and the somewhat poor sixth season, so I'm happy. It was actually funny, too!

They changed Hal
smithjoey-4524110 August 2022
Firstly let me say, this is a great episode. But, it feels like for the last season they ruined Hal as a character. For all the other seasons he was easily my favorite, he was like a nice and fun kind of crazy dad, with very endearing quirks. But in the last season his character just becomes a nuisance. For example, when he tries to steal Malcolm's money. Also, for this episode, it seems extremely out of character that Hal would've hated burning man. Granted I'm sure he would've been skeptical at first, but he seems to blindly love praise in previous seasons so I just can't imagine he wouldn't have enjoyed all those people cheering for him.

Weird

This is the only episode I didn't like. It was extremely not needed and if you were to flip Malcolm's situation with a girl people wouldn't have liked it.
