Colour Me Yellow
Prismark1029 September 2020
Set during the martial arts craze of the early 1970s.

Robin is learning Judo as the girls are decorating the flat.

A night out in the pub leads to aggro with Mick. A big man who thinks Robin is being greedy with having two women. Robin takes the meek way out.

Meanwhile George is grappling with toothache as Mildred rifles through a catalogue looking for sexy lingerie.

Another outing for the publican who looks like Terry Thomas. Although it is a sitcom, there were a lot of men like Mick about in pubs looking for trouble.

It is left to Chrissy to put Mick straight about Robin's condition!

Showdown At The 'Mucky Duck'
ShadeGrenade4 August 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Due to a clause in the lease, the tenants of the flat at 6, Myddleton Terrace must redecorate every few years. Robin shows no real enthusiasm for the task, and heads for the pub, dragging Chrissy and Jo with him. A big man called Mick ( Paul Angelis ) is shooting his mouth off, and on spotting Robin with the the girls, makes a pass at Chrissy. Robin nervously tell him to clear off. Mick threatens to smash his face in. The cookery student backs down.

When Mick accidentally spills Mr.Roper's drink, the latter responds angrily. Mick applauds his courage, and buys him a new one.

The next day, Robin is feeling down because Mick made him look a coward in front of his friends. He decides to get his own back that evening...

A send-up of the Western classic 'High Noon'. The theme 'Do Not Forsake Me Oh My Darling' is heard on the radio at one radio at one point. "What a stupid song!", mutters Robin, before switching it off. What is ironic is that Robin has been taking ( so he says ) Judo lessons, yet is unable to employ it against Mick. Perhaps he was learning Ludo instead? Liverpuddlian actor Paul Angelis is the brother of Michael ( 'Lucien' in 'The Liver Birds' ) and in addition to being the voice of Ringo Starr in the animated Beatles film 'Yellow Submarine' was also 'Mike' in 'The Alf Garnett Saga' movie.

Funniest moment - Mr.Roper's newspaper has been delivered by mistake to the flat upstairs, so he goes to collect it. Alas, Robin has used some of the pages to mop up spilt paint. Sheepishly, he hands back the ruined pages, not acknowledging that the landlord can no longer read them.
