Al wants to watch the John Wayne classic Hondo but Peggy would like him to do some chores first. When Al goes to the store to get some batteries for his torch, the computers shut down, trapping him inside the shop. Meanwhile, the kids celebrate Buck's birthday by taking him to the park and playing frisbee.
This one is a rather mediocre episode with routine gags, at least until Al tells a story about what life was like in America before the computer age. Then we get a wonderful monochrome sequence set in the Wild West, with Kelly as a bar-room gal, Jefferson as a smooth gambler, Bud running the store owned by Peggy and Al as sharp-shooter Bundo. Marcy is the funniest of them all as the evil bank president, with a droopy moustache and villainous cackle. Great stuff.
The ending sees Al attempting to smash the store window by launching a computer through it, the machine bouncing off the glass and hitting him on the head. He misses Hondo -- let's hope he watched it when they showed it again in 2011.
