Originally presented during the FOX television network's May 1994 "sweeps" for television network Nielsen ratings. The event called, "Fox-O-Rama" was presented in anaglyph 3-D. The kits could have been picked up at participating 7-Eleven stores (selling locally for 35 cents).
This was the third and final time Cheech Marin provided the voice of Buck, the Bundy's dog.
In the Western story scenes that Al narrates to the supermarket customers, Peggy is looking at a box with a rabbit sitting on top which she believes will one day have little people inside, that is, a television. The rabbit on the box is a reference to early TVs having aerials that were referred to as rabbits ears.
The computer that Al shoots up in the bar is the Apple Macintosh which debut in 1984.
