Funny and memorable early episode of the series. It proves that a woman likes her certain bra type and that's sexy!

This "Married with Children" episode "Her Cups Runneth Over" is very funny and clever an episode that was well done, it proves a woman likes her certain bra type! And also it's sometimes sexy yet very comical when Al and Steve go to a lingerie shop! Peg(Katey Sagal) is so depressed and miserable on her birthday of all days when she finds out that her favorite bra style and type has been discontinued! And as you know all the stress and worry and work falls on Al(Ed O' Neill) who along with Steve even leaves Chicago and they travel to a special lingerie and bra shop in Wisconsin to find the special bra for Peg! Really funny and hilarious having two men like Steve and Al especially go into a bra shop, that's not only sexy, but sleazy having gay men shop for merchandise and even porn peep shows! Also a nice treat June 1985 Playboy Playmate of the month the sexy Spanish beauty Devin Devasquez has a small part which involves her trying on a bra in a dressing room or should I say undressing the bra at Al's approval which causes him to faint! All people were pleased at the episodes end even Peg! Really a cool and neat episode that was memorable with a good and sexy storyline about women's bras!

Brought Controversy!
Sylviastel28 May 2009
This episode has Peggy upset that her bras are being discontinued and it's difficult to buy in Chicago. Marcy tries to help her in her time of need for her birthday. Steve suggests a place in Wisconsin. The thought of having to hold Peggy has Al driving them there. It's a lingerie shop like Frederick's of Hollywood with a lot more surprises. Al tries to get his wife's bra and the saleswoman assumes that Al and Steve are a gay couple which offends Steve. Al makes some comments about the women and it's obviously offensive in 1989. It is now considered quite tame today. I thought the episode was pushing the buttons of the show but still it makes me laugh and that's all I want to do is laugh now and then.

Thank you, Outraged of Michigan: you helped to make the show a phenomenon.

Al and Steve drive to Wisconsin, to lingerie store Francine's of Hollywood, where they hope to find Peggy's favourite style of bra which has recently been discontinued. Once in the shop, Al gets to ogle the gorgeous staff and customers (including the amazingly hot Devin DeVasquez from cult horror Society and Playboy Playmate Lynne Austin) while Steve checks out the XXX videos behind the red curtain.

Mrs. Outraged of Michigan and anti-obscenity crusader Terry Rakolta found this episode so offensive that they started a campaign against the show. What they didn't realise is that most people aren't so touchy when it comes to comedy (or at least they weren't in the '80s), and the resultant furore actually improved the show's ratings. Al represents the 'Average Joe' and says and does the kind of things that other people wish they had the nerve to; this makes him a hero figure of sorts, despite being a lowly shoe-salesman on minimum wage. Sure, he's uncultured and uncouth and terribly un-PC, but that's the appeal of the character, and when he comes out with cracking lines such as "If I was gay, I'd like to think I could do better than him" and "I knew women looked like that. I knew it, I knew it...", I'm damned if I care (and judging by the fact that the show lasted for eleven seasons, most seem to share my opinion).
