Tuna's on sale!
Sylviastel28 May 2009
When Steve sees something that reminds him of balding spot, he quickly confides in Al that they need to do something about their baldness. Balding doesn't become Steve and Al. They even joined a support group for bald men with Graham Jarvis as the group's leader. If Al is going bald, Bud has a chance of becoming bald later in life according to Kelly who enjoys playing with his emotions. I didn't care much about this episode and barely remember much about it. I don't think Peggy cared much about Al's hair and makes comments about it. The other side of the newspaper is an advertisement for tuna on sale at the grocery store or supermarket while on the other side is an advertisement for balding men.

Hair-larious.
BA_Harrison28 September 2022
Someone leaves an advert for hair-loss treatment on Steve's desk, which makes him concerned that he is going bald.

While a lot of episodes of MWC rely heavily on un-PC humour for the laughs, this one largely features gags about hair-loss and is still very funny. Sure, there are still a few risqué jokes and Al gets to ogle a couple of sexy blondes who enter his store, but the bulk of the humour is based on baldness, with Steve and Al convinced that their days of having hair are numbered.

First, the guys try to find remedies for their condition, slapping on various dodgy treatments (Dr. Fur, Insta-hair) with no success. Eventually, Steve and Al join a support group, Bald American Dudes, where Al realises that his hair loss isn't as bad as it could be. Steve confesses to Marcy that his hair is thinning, but she tells him that she doesn't mind.

The final gag reveals that it was Marcy who left the advert on Steve's desk, not because she thought he was going bald, but because the ad on the other side featured an offer for tuna: 3 for a $1.49.

Best lines: "I'm going to grow mine wild, like a lion's mane" and "Oh Bud, my poor sexless, hairless brother".
