Maude is putting on a musical revue for the Bicentennial.
A very funny episode and close to being the best of the Maude musical shows. Richard Deacon guest stars as an Army colonel who allows the armory to be used for the show. Maude wants to do a tribute to women in history with an all woman cast. Walter wants to advertise a sale at his store. A running joke has Vivian doing different songs that Maude keeps rejecting. Bea Arthur gets to belt out "You're Gonna Hear From Me" from "Inside Daisy Clover" for her solo song spot. Walter convinces Maude to let the men do one number in the show as a dignified salute to women. They do the song "There Is Nothing Like A Dame" for the hilarious finale.
