Parker has eyes for a new nurse
kfo949415 October 2014
In the third offering of the series, we get the ever-clumsy Ensign Parker inviting a nurse back to the island for a little supper. As you can guess the dinner does not go as plan and now the rest of the crew is going to try to help Parker so that he can woo the beautiful nurse.

McHale plots a scheme where they will trying to make Parker have the symptoms of 'battle fatigue' so that he can be close to the nurse. They go as far to write letters from admirers to show the nurse that Parker is a man of the world. But I think even the most novice viewer of the show knows that it will be difficult to make anyone believe in Ensign Parker.

This story was somewhat better than the first two shows of the series but it still seemed to lack the humor that we will see in later programs. There is nothing really wrong with the story but since we are in the Pacific during World War Two and it the third show of the series-- give us some plots surrounding the Navy. There will be plenty of time for love stories later in the run.
