The show never gained any interest.

Jacques Aubuchon makes his third appearance as the local Chief Urulu. We have enjoyed his presents in the other two stories but this episode is slow and lacks the interest of others programs where Mr Aubuchon has donned the island attire.

It all begins when the 73 crew happens upon a crashed Japaneses aircraft that has four million dollar as its cargo. With the stories about forged money making their way around the Pacific, the crew believes that the money is a forgery that was used by the enemy. But only later do they get the news that the four million is actually stolen money from a bank in the Philippines that was overrun by the Japs.

With the crew thinking the money is fake, they give all the money to Chief Urulu for some nicknack's. When Binghamton comes looking for the money they have to tell him that the Chief Urulu has the loot. But McHale has one opportunity to get the money back-- that is if Parker will play the Chief in a hand of poker. We all know that Ensign Parker is the worse player on the island.

This was an average episode at best. The concept was far-fetched and really nothing in the show was interesting enough to keep the viewer alert. The last few episodes have been very entertaining but this show felt slow and laborious as we tried to grasp at something that never appeared. Not the best show of the bunch.

Not Gruber....

Any episode that features / focuses on Carl Ballentine (Gruber) is a loser. Annoying, irritating, grating.....choose your adjective.

BTW... to Mr. Goodwatch: the word for someone being there is PRESENCE, not presents. You've used this in many of your million-plus boring reviews. Learn the language if you're going to be so constantly verbose.
