An important wrap up.

An enduring, and endearing, feature of the 1980s Stacy Keach led Mike Hammer series was his encounter, in each episode, with 'The Face' played by the very attractive Donna Denton. I think the producers understood that the series would not be renewed, so they used this episode to explain those encounters. A very good story, with the wonderful Mary Frann in as a guest star. A very good episode.

Warning: Spoilers
I truly learned a lot with this episode of TNMH. To finally have things come together for Mike and The Face was great even IF she did slip out the backdoor almost immediately after their trist. It made perfect sense for the syndicated series to end this way (a high note). I'm truly disappointed though that it only had one official season of the series because I always enjoyed it. I also learned, for the first time, that Stacey Keach wore a toupee, I assume for the series itself, I just thought for all those years that his hair naturally receded. I'm disappointed to as well that Violet, Mike's Beloved Secretary played by The Beautiful Lindsay Bloom, wasn't in what would be the last episode. Instead they had some geeky looking female temp secretary (Roxy Roker from "The Jefferson's" fame did excellent as a temp secretary for Mike, they should have kept her on IF the producers and writers wanted to write Violet off the show, IDIOTS!) in the final episode, UGH!
