Frank Black is interviewed by Millennium associates and becomes angry when they question about his family. He leaves the meeting without fulfilling their expectation. He goes to a planetarium to meet Catherine and Jordan and Catherine introduces him to Mr. And Mrs. Glaser, whose son Alex disappeared in Alaska. Frank goes with them to their home, and they explain him that Alex traveled to Alaska as a gift for his graduation in the high school. Frank tells the Glasers that he will travel to Alaska to look for Alex. Frank contacts Peter Watts and he says that the Group will not support him in his journey. In Stebbins, he learns from Sheriff Bowman that Alex made several enemies with the locals buying expensive gifts for their wives and he saved him from a fight in a bar. When a fishing boat retrieves a decomposed body with its net, Bowman and the coroner conclude that he is Alex Glaser, but Frank disagrees. He finds the possible location where the body may have been dumped in the water and he flies to there expecting to find the teenager. Will Frank succeed?
The overrated "Luminary" is a dull episode of "Millennium", with a terrible storyline. It begins with Frank Black been interrogated by strangers about his personal life. Peter Watts shows that he is neither friend nor loyal to Frank Black, and only uses him when the Millennium Group needs his expertise. Frank usually travels sponsored by the Group. In this episode, is Mr. Glaser financing his trip and the high costs involved in the investigation, including hospital treatment? Alex Glaser is a ridiculous character that is saved by Frank in the wilderness of Alaska to vanish again in the end. The also ridiculous Catherine now is studying astrological maps with which purpose? To find the reason why he left Frank? Since I am usually generous with my ratings, my vote is five.
Title (Brazil): "Luminary"
