He engaged me to assist him in the astonishing work of giving away millions of dollars - a million at a time - to people he selected for his own secret reasons. Here at Silverstone, his 60,000-acre estate, John Beresford Tipton lived, secluded from the world. He summoned me one day to the vast orchard, which lay in the far north corner of Silverstone.

• Michael Anthony : [Examining a case history; to the viewers]  The check was addressed to a young lady who lived in a small middle western town in the United States.

• Michael Anthony : [Anthony rings the doorbell of the Munson home. Katherine responds]  Good afternoon. Katherine Munson?

  Kathy Munson : Yes. Oh... oh, my sister's out. She manages the business.

  Michael Anthony : Are you Katherine Munson?

  Kathy Munson : Yes, sir.

  Michael Anthony : Well, this is personal business for you alone.

  Kathy Munson : Oh. Come in, please.

  Michael Anthony : [Entering and opening his briefcase]  I have a check for you.

  [Displaying a check to Katherine] 

  Michael Anthony : A cashier's check for $1,000,000 made out in your name. A gift.

  Kathy Munson : [Looking at the check]  A million dollars!

  Michael Anthony : The gift tax has been paid. It's all yours if you'll conform to a few simple conditions.

  Kathy Munson : A million dollars. Are you sure you have the right sister? I... I mean, you see, we're twins... identical twins, and, you know, sometimes people get us mixed up.

  Michael Anthony : This money is for you personally. It has nothing to do with your sister. You may not even tell her where you got it. That's one of the conditions.

  Kathy Munson : Not tell Marian?

  Michael Anthony : If you ever tell anyone how you received this money or the exact amount, you will have to forfeit the balance. If you agree to these terms, I will ask you to sign this paper.
