Excellent

Here we have a good, solid episode. It has the special merit of giving Peter Lupus (Willy) a much bigger part than usual. The story is fast moving and all the member of our team are well featured. The scriptwriter for this episode was Jackson Gillis, who wrote many episodes of the original Perry Mason, so he had experience with complex plots! As usual, the delicate beauty of Lynda Day George adds a lot; she was such a good addition to the team. A very enjoyable episode.

Warning: Spoilers
*SPOILER ALERT*

The mission involves stealing $10 million from two mobsters so the money cannot be diverted to the syndicate. Willy (Peter Lupus) gets to be the main participant of this episode which is rare for his character. He is captured by the mobsters who then hire a doctor to get the truth from him. Phelps, Casey, and Barney have to complete the mission as well as rescue Willy. The team kidnaps one of the mobsters and make it appear that he faked his death and stole the money. The syndicate sends someone to collect the money and Phelps tries to confuse the group by blaming the theft on either one of the two mobsters. The mobsters then are forced to reveal the location of where Willy is being interrogated in order to determine his connection to the money theft. The doctor's assistant becomes ambivalent about the process of using the truth serum drug on Willy, but she is held to her payback to the doctor for rescuing her father. Eventually, she decides to stop using the serum (which can prove fatal if continued) and helps to cut the bound hands of Willy on the table. As the mobsters arrive, Willy makes a break and runs out grabbing the doctor's assistant. THe IMF team who are outside of the building then quickly allows Willy and the doctor's assistant to enter their vehicle and shoot back at the mobsters while fleeing the scene. The ending was a rare one where someone who was not part of the team or the mission target was rescued.
