- The economy of the small African country of Ghalea is threatened by a mass counterfeiting scheme directed by Walter DuBruis, one of the country's richest financier.
- The IM force target's DuBruis, a corrupt financial speculator in an African nation. Phelps and the IM force get DuBruis's attention with counterfeit money, virtually the same as the nation's currency. The elaborate plan calls for Cinnamon to tempt DuBruis with supposed insider information about a mining company, whilst Phelps and Rollin pose as criminals who've developed computerized counterfeiting.—Bill Koenig
- Wonderful Brock Peters plays a dishonest African financial advisor whose latest scheme involves LOTS of counterfeit money to be printed on legitimate paper he has stolen. But the combination of a stalled engraver, Cinnamon's tip about a mining stock and Rollin's convincing portrayal of an amnesiac with a big mouth lead him straight into Jim's trap - the promise of quick wealth through a mysterious counterfeiting machine. He provides the paper, which Barney confiscates as he sits inside the machine pushing stacks of pre-printed currency through a slot. The money is printed with trick ink which smears and runs when the bad guy tries to use it. Thus greed is punished and virtue triumphs as always.
