The IMF team brings in two outsiders to assist in the mission....Khalid and Hank. They are played by Joseph Ruskin and Richard Devon, respectively. Both were IMF adversaries in previous shows. Ruskin played in "Old Man Out", "The Slave", and "The Brothers"; and Devon played Steve Cameron in "Casino".
When Jim is explaining his scheme, he says he has access to a half million tons of oil to sell to whomever they want, although it's never explained how much money they would receive for it. 500,000 tons of oil is roughly equivalent to 3,750,000 barrels of oil. in 1972 the price of oil was at 3.40 a barrel. (This was about one year before the OPEC nations began jacking up the price of oil that caused so much economic turmoil of the 1970's.) That amount of oil would have been worth (in 1972 dollars) about $12,750,000. If adjusted for inflation, that would be equivalent to about $82,550,000 now. (Also, the price of oil has far exceeded the rate of inflation; at a conservative $75.00 a barrel, that much oil now would sell for $281,250,000.)
