Quotes

  • King Friday XIII : I was correct.

Lady Aberlin : About what, sire?

King Friday XIII : About cancelling curiosity. If Tuesday hadn't have been so curious, he and Little Panda would not be lost in space.

Lady Aberlin : Oh, they were just playing.

King Friday XIII : They were pinging!

  • Mr. Rogers : You know, when I was a little boy and I went to bed before anybody else in the family, I used to be so curious about what the other people in the family were doing. Farticularly, I wanted to know what my mother and father were doing when I wasn't with them. I used to think a lot about that, and I even asked them about it, and they said that that was their own time together. And whiled it was fine to be curious about it, there were some things that were for just grown-ups to do. And I would learn about them when I was a grown-up myself. And so I waited, and I grew up, and I became a grown-up myself.

  • Mr. Rogers : There are all kinds of stories you can make up. You could use people like the ones in our neighborhood for your stories, or you could make up a whole other community of people, and animals, and things for your own make believe. It's like having a dream, you know. Making up a fanciful story. You've got lots of good ideas.

  • Mr. Rogers : We have so many things that we think about, and feel, and are curious about, don't we? Of course. That's how we learn things. We think about them, we have feelings about them, we're curious about them. That's part of who we are. I like talking about such things with you.
