The time spent with Ella Jenkins clearly runs longer than intended. At one point, Mr. McFeely somewhat awkwardly interrupts to remind Ms. Jenkins that they need to get going soon. In addition, after they have left, Mister Rogers concludes for the day and says, "I'll come back this weekend and clean up that board game in the kitchen." Very rarely is an episode ended with a mess left anywhere in the house because of this Ella Jenkins has the distinction of being the first guest whose visit goes over the scheduled run time. There is a brief geographical error when Mr. Rogers says he will be back this weekend to clean up the mess however the show does not air on weekends only Monday-Friday as Feburary 11th was a Friday in 1983 so Rogers should of said that he will be back on Monday.
The "very special teacher and warm pussycat" comes from The Snow People Opera in Episode 1245. In that instance, Henrietta was the warm pussycat and the very special teacher was Reardon.
