As usual, the guys are in trouble with their rent, and Mr. Babbit, the landlord, has had enough. He's already rented the place to Millie, a talkative woman who moves in the next day. Millie tells the guys they don't have to leave; she's has borders before!
The guys like Millie, but she smothers them constantly. Davy discovers that Millie moved out of her old neighborhood because she was lonely. A handman, Larry, comes by to make repairs, and the guys decide to fix Millie up with him. They make the apartment as romantic as possible for the date.
It looks as if Millie and Larry's first date is going to be the last one. Millie talks so much that Larry doesn't get a word in edgewise. He gently points this out to her. Millie apologizes, and notices that Larry is a nice man. Sparks fly, and the Monkees rejoice.
Millie and Larry have their wedding in the apartment, and she invites a lot of people, including a group of unruly kids who run the Monkees over. But all ends well.
