- With the scripted sitcom antics taking a backseat, this episode shows the group on a real concert tour.
- Producer-director Robert Rafelson presents a filmed documentary on The Monkees as they fly to Phoenix, AZ in January 1967 for a concert during the run of their television series. Arriving at Phoenix, the Monkees are greeted with loud enthusiasm by a mostly-young crowd at the local airport. Rafelson's camera then follows the boys as they have breakfast at their hotel and drive to local radio station KRUX and take it over to become guest DJs for the day. Finally comes the night of the concert as the group performs before some ten thousand screaming fans, and amid the din we see individual clips of the boys as each one of them explains in voice-over their experiences as popular performers and their dreams for the future.—Michael Daly
- To close out the successful first season of their television series, The Monkees present a filmed documentary of a concert at which they perform. The concert is in Phoenix, AZ and we see the boys as they arrive at the airport and are besieged with screaming young girls before they board a limo to take them to their hotel. To kill time before the concert the boys take over local station KRUX and perform bits of humor such as a parody of radio farm reports and also interview a young woman from off the street.
The concert finally arrives and amid their performances, the boys are seen in separate interview segments merely talking - about unwinding after a concert, about their school days, and about their dreams for the future. The concert is a roaring success and the boys board another limo that will take them to their next concert, but first on the KRUX show they express thanks to the many other singing groups of the period.
