Morgan Fairchild and David Letterman

"Mork Goes Erk" marked the third and final appearance of Morgan Fairchild as Mindy's rival Susan Taylor, introducing a newcomer to TV sitcoms, David Letterman. Susan boasts about her conversion to ERK, better known as 'Ellsworth Revitalization Konditioning,' and attempts to have Mork and Mindy join her at the next meeting. Mindy has been despondent since learning that Mork is being transferred to another planet, but much worse because Mork has chosen to leave due to earthly emotions (both agree to accompany Susan to the next session of ERK). Ellsworth (David Letterman) counts the bodies so he knows how many checks he'll get, then begins by insulting everyone. Truth and reality are dismissed by the arrogant Ellsworth, but so long as Mork is around to offer common sense answers Ellsworth won't accomplish anything (losing his Rolls Royce is only a concept, getting it back is reality!). Mindy sees through Mork after this, calling him out on his emotions, which will soon come to a boil in "Mork's Mixed Emotions."
