Shao Khan is looking for the traitor who supports Empress Kreeya and suspects almost everyone, but not Reptile. Reptile, however, is not pleased to see that Kreeya is making offers not only to him. Vorpax apparently joins forces with Kung Lao, Taja and Siro to fight Kreeya - but when she gets a chance, she attempts to steal Kreeya's powers and become new empress with the help of Shang Tsung.
Although there is a web of intrigue, betrayal and espionage that keeps the episode thrilling, it must be said that Shao Khan looks somewhat stupid here. He mostly stands around complaining instead of investigating the plot against him.
