Herman is upset as he finds letters from school that Eddie has been hiding from his parents, letters telling them that their book is flunking science. Herman says he and Lily must go down and see the Principal at Mockingbird Heights Elementary School "face to face."
Meanwhile, "Taggart," an ex-prison guard now working at the school as a juvenile investigator, wants Eddie expelled for his family not responding to those letters! He looks at the pupils as "inmates," but the principal isn't buying it. Taggart does talk the boss into going to the Munsters house "and throw a good scare into those Munsters." That's a great part of the show: Taggart being given a tour of the house by Grandpa! After the juvenile officer sees what's what, he tells Grandpa he is recommend Eddie be expelled, so the old man sics the robot on him! Taggart runs for his life and later vows to destroy that robot before Eddie can make a hit with it at the science fair that night.
How Eddiie, his family and the robot foil the evil Taggart is pretty funny and once again, this is an entertaining episode. I don't want to ruin it, but Herman's vaudeville act is a real hoot! This is a classic episode, remembered well by those of us who have watched this show for many years. Herman becomes "The Masked Marvel," a wrestler. He's doing it to put extra money in the bank for Eddie's college fund.
It came about when Eddie had a friend over, Wilbur, and Herman wowed the kids with exhibitions of his strength. Wilbur's dad is a wrestling promoter, hears about Herman, calls him and invites him to be a wrestler.
Herman's first bout is with Tarzan McGuirk. It winds up like his next seven with Herman's soft heart ruining his record.....but his face saving him in the end!
