I'm not a woman. I'm Murphy Brown.

Warning: Spoilers
It's obvious that even in spite of her feminist leanings, Murphy has always longed to be a member of the boy's club, and feels quite rejected when denied that opportunity. When Frank, Jim, Miles and other FYI staff go to a seminar for dealing with male emotions, Murphy crashes it, creating a disturbance as the exercises get more serious, and is put in the spotlight where she finds herself holding the stick of communication, a Native American tool of men revealing their innermost feelings. It becomes clear that Murphy's feelings have her having wished she had been born a boy because she never got her father's approval. Jim, Frank and Miles get emotional on their turns, and later on, Murphy, who has come around on seeing how powerful this is, embarrasses the men in the office, further explaining why this was meant to be an all male seminar. "Never underestimate the power of the human voice", the seminar monitor and author Eli White says, banging on a drum for the spirituality that he learned from Native Americans. Brandon Maggart guest stars as Eli White, very serious, but profound.
