A secretary's return is a real bomb.

Warning: Spoilers
The nervous Robert (Charley Lang), Murphy's second secretary in the premiere episode, is back, as nervous and hysterical as ever, although he claims while shaking that he's been through therapy and can handle any amount of pressure. They really exaggerate the fear her secretaries have because Murphy is tough but easy to work for, as long as you're not a fawning fan of someone else in the newsroom, unable to speak English or a devil worshiper. And this is only the fourth episode so imagine all the crazy's who will pass through FYI over the next ten years.

This episode surrounds Murphy's interview with ex husband Robin Thomas, whom she was only married to for 2 weeks only but has fond memories of physically. Murphy's telling Miles all this is hysterical because it is something that could never be done today with sexual harassment issues, and Miles seems most dreadfully embarrassed by that.

Murphy and ex-hubby Jake are definitely still very much attracted to each other, and it's obvious that they are going to overstep the bounds of professionalism in the confines of an interview. You get to see the softer side of Murphy (not that she's completely hard, just tough), so the vulnerability makes her feel identifiable. Thomas was just one of several "Another World" veterans on the show (outside of Faith Ford and recurring cast member Christopher Rich), making me wonder who Behind the scenes was a fan of that long running soap opera. The heat between Candice Bergen and Robin Thomas may need a spray bottle next to the viewer as it is rather racy.
