Lettering in Intelligence Isn't Popular

Warning: Spoilers
I'm not sure whoever wrote the synopsis actually saw the episode. Robbie isn't worried about not deserving the consideration of lettering for scholastic achievement. He's concerned about being rejected by the "normal" kids. When his nomination for the award is announced, his friends are upset because they feel pressured to do better in their grades. Robbie thinks he'd rather be "dumb" and accepted by the crowd than smart and singled out for it.
