It's great to see where this show starting to get on its feet. I realize that the KTMA era really was quite bad. This was the first season where it started to get good. Granted, it wasn't until later that it would the greatest show I'd ever seen. Larry just isn't as fun as TV's Frank. I do like the stuff they do out of the theater, which is mostly them disarming a doomsday device. Josh Weinstein really did have good vocal range as Tom Servo. I didn't even know what Isaac Asimov looked like. It was nice of them to make fun of them like this. Dang, it's hard to even see people making fun of Scientology this early.
I admit the "fakey" "real" thing got kind of old. I really liked the joke, "I never know that lizards were so flammable". They did get some good lines in this one, just not as good as their later stuff. They even started pretty strong with, "My sister saw that in High School! The boys had to leave the room" with the title on screen. I also liked, "Don't just do something. Stand there!". Not the best, but good. ***
