Tse Chung says that "part of the (Gorgos Stone's) greatest curse is the evil it inspires people to do to get their hands on it," yet none of the people trying to get their hands on the stone (Alex, Cleo, Max, Matt or even Tse himself) have ever shown evil in seeking it. There has never been evidence of this.
Alex tells Cleo she should've seen the room where he went to change clothes - a room as big as their house. Since Cleo remained in the study monitoring the scene, and since the cyberspace scene follows Alex wherever he goes, she should have been privy to see Alex undress in the room of his description, yet apparently didn't.
Alex is running and hiding from pursuers while carrying a lit torch, which shouldn't make him hard to miss as it's night and he's jerking it around while hiding behind a column. (He douses it only when they've passed him by.)
