- Connie struggles to settle with the baby. A woman is found dead in a vacant lot. Another is found dead in the laundry room of her building. The Lieutenant dresses up for a lunch.
- Andy, Clark, Connie and Rita catch a homicide where a young woman wearing a mini-skirt and expensive boots was found hog-tied and left dead in a vacant lot. Rita doesn't recognize her as a prostitute but Andy is brusquely sure she was. Even though she was a student at a fashion school, Andy poses the "whore or not?" query to her roommate, who gets angry at him. A second victim is found nearby in similar raped/strangled fashion, and the cops do recognize her as a hard-core prostitute, with Connie getting a friend of her to provide an ID and some background in exchange for a walk on a minor charge. Andy and Clark find a cellphone link between the 1st victim and a guy named Reed, who called up a few escort services. He isn't being forthcoming with the cops and they are suspicious of him, but have no way to prove he was involved in the murders. After he dismisses a transparent attempt by the attractive Rita and Connie to work him over with charm, Andy and Clark note that he's not asking for a lawyer or even asking to leave. They follow up a lead involving a pretty co-worker of Reed's who had a confrontation with him, and she confirms that Reed's a loser and an asshole who turned on her when she didn't want to date him and got chewed out by his boss--which happened the same day that the two women were killed. The detectives get the co-worker to demand an apology from Reed, who flies into a rage and confesses that he killed the fashion student-hooker when she tried to steal money from him and then killed the second prostitute when she saw him and tried to run away from their appointment. Greg and Baldwin are dealing with the rape-murder of a young woman in her apartment, and her work as a tutor and a tip from the superintendent's nephew Jerry leads them to a very nervous young man whom they decide is guilty for, well, no real reason. They get his pastor to convince him to talk to them, and then they convince him to confess that he did the crime and doesn't remember it. The problem is that the blood evidence comes in and it proves he could not have done it. Lt. Tony's furious at them, and Greg and Baldwin are furious themselves, so Baldwin takes the lead in interrogating the formerly-helpful Jerry. Jerry confesses that he was high on drugs and made a move on the young woman, who rejected him in disgust and then he lost it and murdered her. Everyone apologizes to the innocent guy and his pastor. Tony also has to contend with apologies from his ex-wife, who deserted him to pursue her love of drugs and left his life in disarray. He meets her for lunch and she says she's now clean and sober and working hard. Eventually, Tony and her end up sleeping together. Connie's constant calls to her nanny regarding newly adopted baby Michelle bother Tony (it's distracting her from work) and Andy (she's ignoring Theo entirely). Connie blows up at Andy over his claims, but later brings Michelle over to meet Theo ahead of a dinner for all of them. Connie says she and Andy should move in together, and he agrees that it's a great idea.
