Principle plot involves a man killing a nine year old girl. He devises some pretty elaborate methods for doing so. A second plot concerns an elderly man who has had some of his bank account broken into. He has been seeing a 26 year old. Upon investigation, it is revealed that he was dealing with an interesting person. Dolores's father shows up at the precinct at the end with a startling story.

May be the worst episode NYPD Blue that I've seen so far.
Rewatching from the beginning.
I've seen Caruso leave, and now bobby die.
Got no problem with Danny/Ricky Schroeder...but this episode...something feels enough.
Doesn't feel like the same blue.
The music...the pacing...the dialogue.
Maybe it's a one off...though last episode seemed to not be as good either... But this was so noticeable I had to leave a review.
I don't think I've left a review of any blue episodes.
None of them are great. They are all good for the most part.
Some episodes have great memorable scenes...but beginning to end, no blue episode up til now has been so good or so bad to merit a review.
Except this one.
I was actually bored. Sleepy.
I haven't been sleepy watching a single episode up until now.
So there ya go.
In hindsight...though...watching these in order...I never realized how much I didn't care for how Bobby left.
I don't know what happenee with Jimmy Smits or what the reason was... But bobby went from fine to gone quick ... And there really hasn't been any lingering issues.
No emotions...no comments about him not being around...which is what reality is like.
Everyone just sort of moved on.
Dianne had one episode where she almost drank.
She should be a blubbering mess on the regular...the way they made their relationship etc.
Just felt very quick that they took him away...and moved on way too quick.
Maybe something pops up later??? Don't know.
