Nanny's Aunts
JordanThomasHall12 June 2017
Nanny (Juliet Mills) receives a letter informing her that her Aunt Justine (Ida Lupino) and Aunt Agatha (Marjorie Bennett, "Mary Poppins") are coming to visit. They arrive in the Everett's backyard in the middle of the night in a hot air balloon. The eccentric aunts are instantly reminiscent of Samantha's aunts on "Bewitched". They grab the attention of the whole neighborhood, reporters, and even evoke a visit from Mr. Pennybrook (minor character actor Maurice Dallimore) of the British Consulate. He unsuccessfully asks for their passport. Mrs. Fowler (Patsy Garrett) brings Miss Millstone (Katherine Chancellor on "The Young and the Restless") to champion the women in a rally for women's rights. Professor Everett (Richard Long) puts his foot down against having it in his backyard and a mysterious wind chases everyone away. Nanny and her aunts sit down to talk over a cup of tea. They question why she has stayed at the Everett household longer than any other place. She says she is very content there and is needed. They want Nanny to go with them and "let her spirit soar", but she declines. The aunts are then approached by Mrs. Fowler where she says they are needed. We next see them comically lying in the middle of the road in a women's rights protest and then rightfully behind bars. After standing before the judge they see how they've "made a mess of things" and reevaluate their actions.

Nanny's eccentric aunts visit
mlbroberts6 May 2024
Nanny's aunts "drop in" via hot air balloon, creating havoc for the British consulate and the local constabulary as they join Mrs. Fowler from next door in a women's protest sit in. The Professor, who normally is gracious to the oddballs who visit Nanny, has enough with the disruption to his backyard with the protesting women, but Nanny manages to get a grip on everyone and her aunts confound the judge when they are charged with disturbing the peace. The wind rises again and the aunts fly of to Albuquerque (thank you, Bugs Bunny). Silly episode but with Ida Lupino and Marjorie Bennett as the aunts, I had to love it.
