When the Mr. Sheffield arrives to Koorestan and meets the Sultan (both played by Charles Shaughnessy), the special effect used to make both character appear on screen at the same time is noticeable as one of the Sultan's hands becomes briefly transparent.
Arrived in Koorestan, and told she must wear the local's habit, Fran pulls a flimsy polyester caftan from the wardrobe and requests "breathable fabric" for her clothes because, she complains, "at 117F degrees" she finds the heat "a bit stifling". But while Fran is saying that, she is wearing a long sleeve turtleneck and a suit and doesn't act uncomfortable in the least. The caftan flimsy fabric is a lot more breathable than a tight turtleneck and suit.
The first time Fran and Grace walk into the room while wearing traditional garb, the boom mike drops briefly into the scene.
Although Koorestan is a made-up country, there are no countries in the Middle East that end with "-stan". Those countries (such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan etc.) are all located in Cenral Asia.
