There are several plots elements. One is George finding a stray dog and falling in love with it. Secondly, we have a couple who are trying to sneak out of the Inn without paying. Thirdly, we have Stephanie getting back together with the man she was married to for two days. Kirk is also in the picture but his bit has gotten old and there is little character development.

After Stephanie run away from her husband Carl days after the wedding, he comes to find her.
There are a lot of funny things going on in this episode. Carl turns out to be an elderly man, played by Murray Matheson (best known as a wise cracking clown on the Twilight Zone episode called Five Characters In Search of An Exit). Kirk has some funny lines when he first meets him. Other funny subplots include George getting attached to a stray dog who hates Kirk and a guest couple who are trying to sneak out without paying.
