Founders' Day Antics
Hitchcoc7 March 2023
It's Founders' Day and everyone is, by law, expected to dress up in colonial garb. Dick, particularly, looks ridiculous. Stephanie is a scullery maid and does nothing but complain. Out of the blue, her father shows up. It turns out that he has had a row with his wife and is leaving her. He ends up with George, cutting wood. The boys teach him to whittle a grandfather's clock. Soon his wife shows up. He and Dick are arrested and put in the stocks because Stephanie wants them to start talking. It seems that Mrs. VanderKellen called her husband a Noodlehead after he mooned the bridge club. Finally, the last scene is one of the best of the entire series. I won't spoil it.

Colonial days with Newhart
Jimmy_the_Gent46 April 2018
Stephanie's father Art arrives in town while the town is celebrating Colonial days.

Jose Ferrer returns as Art and he announces he left his wife. Stephanie convinces her mother to come to town to patch things up. Dick and Art end up in the stocks when they don't dress in 18th century garb during the celebration. Funniest scene is when Dick has an itchy nose while locked up in the stocks.
