A dying breed, an imperialist, confronts his gentle son: kill or lose your inheritance. The overbearing father's towering trophy hall displays heads of trophies from all over the world - one isn't hanging though: his wise, English-educated African butler, who spent his teen years with the son. The son Archie Jr., a recent college grad, nervously gulps brandy as the pompous hunter expounds his social Darwinist code. Can anyone dissuade the old Colonel (Raymond Massey, who fought in WW I & WW II), or frame a compromise?
