Nellie is a little jealous, when Northern widow Gladys Nuttall, turns her attentions on her father, she believes Gladys has evil dimensions.
I think this was my favourite episode so far, worn all of the characters now firmly established, the writers were able to have a bit of fun, plenty of laughs throughout this one.
Nellie is outrageously funny, her mispronunciations, her Nellie-isms are on point throughout.
It was nice to see Nellie and Jed back up North, embracing the warm northern hospitality, Gladys was funny.
Once again, I'd say the parallels between this and Nearest and Dearest are almost exact, it's the same brand of humour, I spent six series wondering if Slater was going to speak, now I'm wondering the same about Gilbert, what a smart guy.
Look at the diversity of characters here.
Very funny, 8/10.
