Of the whole delightfully bizarre series, this episode was the most bizarre.

Warning: Spoilers
Had The Conspiracy actually found a way to temporarily reverse the aging process, just so they could force the rejuvenated to act as hit men (and women) in exchange for "booster shots?" Or was the truth even more nefarious? Were the senior citizens being brainwashed into acting as tutors for surgically-created doubles of their younger selves? With the doubles then being brainwashed into believing they really _were_ the senior citizens rejuvenated!

In other words: a sort of double-blind camouflage for The Conspiracy's assassin-training program.

Alas! We shall never know. Because, like its inspiration, the 1960's cult-classic THE PRISONER, this, too, was only a one-season wonder.
