Rob Morrow: Don Eppes

Quotes

  • [Alan arrives at the FBI office]

Don Eppes : Thanks for bringing lunch all the way down here. Come on, this way.

Alan Eppes : Well, you know, the drive was a pleasure. Traffic on the 10 has never been thinner since, uh, well, since it's been the 10.

Don Eppes : Yeah, it's like all L.A.'s in lockdown, huh? A little eerie.

[He ushers his father into an office where they can eat together]

Don Eppes : Right in here.

Alan Eppes : Yeah. So, how uh... how are you and Charlie managing this case?

Don Eppes : Well, I mean, he's frustrated; I'm frustrated. I mean, we're having a rough time on this.

Alan Eppes : Is that why he's been running out of the house late at night?

Don Eppes : We got an agent on him all the time.

Alan Eppes : I mean, I know he's been helping you out and that he comes down to your office a lot, and I-I-I think that's great. But... but Donnie you got him going out on crime scenes... I mean, there's this guy shooting people out there.

Don Eppes : Dad, you really think I would put Charlie in danger?

Alan Eppes : No. You know what I really think?

    Don Eppes : What?

Alan Eppes : I think you have to understand that Charlie can never say no to you.

[Don sighs and puts down his sandwich]

Alan Eppes : I mean... I mean, all you have to do is ask him something, and he's there for you.

Don Eppes : Yeah, and I'm there for him.

Alan Eppes : [sighs]  Look, he's not a cop. Now, come on, I mean, he's better off with chalk in his hand than a gun.

Don Eppes : You know, you gotta stop this; he is a grown man, and he's capable of...

Alan Eppes : [cuts him off]  Who still seeks the approval of his older brother, whether his older brother likes it or not.

[Don's phone rings, he takes the call, then tells Alan there's been another shooting before heading out]

Don Eppes : I promise I won't call Charlie until we roll the tanks out, and I want you to stay here until I call you, okay? All right. Thanks for the sandwich.
