A dozen bagels and a pound of lox
rerunwatcher29 April 2021
Felix sings County-Western Music. The most funny part is when Oscar tries to call a square dance. When calling a square dance he is trying to rhyme and ends up saying "a dozen bagels and a pound of lox". This is very funny in a square dance. May not sound funny but watch it and you will see. Cute episode.

"Is there no END!" Horns Up!

Warning: Spoilers
Uniquely humorous half hour episode as Oscar loses in a friendly game of cards to a big Texas Oilman Billy Joe (Pernell Roberts) who is in town, New York to see His Dallas Cowboys play.Oscar broke offers Billy Joe his roommate's band who will play at his party. Billy Joe asks if they play country/square dance music? Oscar reply's, "Have you ever heard of Red River Unger and the Saddle Sores?" Meanwhile back at the apartment Felix and his band are practicing in hopes of that big gig. Felix Unger and the Sophisticatos with a brassy heavy high-brow sound. Playing songs that would make you cringe the likes of Jeepers Creepers and Cocktails for Two. Oscar Penniless and desperate asks Felix if his band would play at Billy Joe's party.. Oscar doesn't tell Felix that it has to be square dance music and that there is no payment either for their work. This makes for an hilarious confrontation as Felix and his band perform a miracle. NOTE!!! The boxed DVD set omits the Cocktails for Two song while on Television re-runs the song is played.
