Wilfred accidentally discovers that Hatley Station is a hundred years old, a big celebration is planned, with all staff and locals invited.
It's a sweet episode, a fitting close to a great series. I've raced through the whole series, and loved it more than ever, it was a great show, it had a great send off that the show deserved. It feels like a final episode, I wonder if they knew it was the end.
As always the laughs come primarily from Su Pollard, the scenes of her in that crinoline are a scream, her efforts to get through the door, she didn't care what she did.
I loved Vera's stint as Queen Victoria, she certainly looked the part. I wonder where Mr Orkindale got that shirt from, it looks very 1980's. Windsor Davies was funny as The Mayor.
Only two series, this classic comedy deserved a longer run. 9/10
