Stan reads an article in the local newspaper, an article which talks about the unhealthy life of a bus driver, sat behind a wheel, eating too much, and taking no exercise, mum gets worried.
It's a funny watch, a good humoured episode, plenty of laughs, I think the best being the skip-athon between Stan and Blakey, it's not the first time they've pitted the pair against one another in a physical challenge.
I always assume of the 1970's as being an era where health wasn't even a consideration for people, and this is right back to 1970, and there is talk about being overweight, the wrong diet etc, 50 years of low fat foods onwards, and we have huge obesity problems, were people better off with bread and dripping? I wonder.
Clare Sutcliffe was sweet as Pat, it's clear that Stan is having a bit more like with the birds in this series, than he was in the last.
8/10.
