Stan's time keeping is brought into focus after he's late a few times, tired of his early morning alarm, Arthur doctors it so that it doesn't ring quite so loudly.

I enjoyed it, once again, I feel that it's well observed, and relatable humour, I'm sure we all know someone who's sound system is unbearably loud first thing in the morning.

It isn't my favourite so far, but there are some humorous moments, the scene with Stan's love bite was perhaps the highlight.

I felt a bit sorry for Stan here, even his best mate did the dirty on him.

Kate Williams was good here as Doreen, she'd of course become known to millions in her own sitcom, Love thy Neighbour.

7/10.

Warning: Spoilers
As a result of his constant late nights out with flighty Doreen, Stan ends up sleeping in for work every morning. He tries to evade Blakey by climbing in through the toilet window ( a gag which would later make its way into the series five episode 'Vacancy For Inspector' ) but gets found out when a clippie screams in alarm ( Stan climbed in the window of the ladies toilets by mistake! ).

Taking pity on Stan, Blakey sends Stan home to get more sleep so can do a night shift instead. However, Jack uses this to his advantage in order to have some fun with Doreen...

Not bad stuff. Kate Williams, who played Doreen, was but three years away from landing the role of Joan Booth in Thames Television's popular, though controversial, 'Love Thy Neighbour'. She made two further 'Buses' appearances - as Wendy in 'The Other Woman' and as the nurse in the 'Holiday On The Buses' feature film.

Funniest bit - Mum discovering a love bite on Stan's neck, much to her disgust. ''Girls didn't bite men in my day!'' grumbles mum. ''That's because they didn't have any teeth in your day!'' quips Stan.
