Letting Stan and Jack loose with the trainees.
Sleepin_Dragon10 October 2022
The whole Household are kept awake by Arthur and Olive's creaky bed, Stan decides to transport one on The Learner's bus.

It definitely has a few funny moments, it's an amusing episode, the best scene definitely being the moment where Stan claims to have fixed the dilapidated bed frame. It's not the first time a dodgy bed would be the focus of humour, but it did work.

They are definitely using Olive and Arthur more so, and that's definitely a good thing, watching the pair feud is a real joy. Once again you're wondering how on Earth the pair ended up getting married. Again we see how tight Arthur is with the purse strings.

John Lyons, who played Bert would be known to millions as DS Toolan in A Touch of Frost, such a distinctive voice.

8/10.

Warning: Spoilers
This was the monster.

The L Bus is for learning. Other drivers and crew learn on the L Bus.

Stan and Jack are to train some new recruits.

Meanwhile, Stan has had enough with Olive and Arthur's bed squeaking. Well, it wouldn't squeak if Olive sat still.

But she can't, whine, whine, whine.

Check out what Anna Karen is wearing here. Aside from the fact, she is wearing her glasses in bed as well.

Stan and Mum burst in to complain about the bed, Stan tightens up the bedsprings, Arthur complains, and the bed doesn't squeak anymore.

It collapses.

Now Stan will get them a new bed and he will carry it home on the L Bus, as long as Blakey doesn't find it.

Which he does!! We've seen episodes in America of carrying on in the middle of the night, such as All In The Family's yelling and arguing, but getting the whole household up to tend to a bedspring? Unbelievable.

My sister said she sees where she gets it now.
