The hottest day of the year, and there's a power cut, resulting in a relaxed Margaret and worked up Victor.
It is quite different, for starters we don't get the usual opening credits, instead it's straight into the episode.
We had several single and double handed episodes during the show's great history, and as always, it's very, very good. The premise is fun, lots of great gags, but the performances from Wilson and Crosbie are amazing, what an amazing pair of actors.
It's a little less surreal then the previous episode, but it's suitably batty, Mr Smedley providing a degree of humour. I find it hard to believe this dates all the way back to 2000, it looks fresh and up to date, and the humour is as relevant now as it was back then. As always we get the little bit of sadness which balances the humour so well. Nothing even comes close nowadays. 8/10
