Anne Lockhart (the daughter of June and granddaughter of Gene Lockhart) stars in this episode of "The Paper Chase". In many ways, it's very reminiscent of many of the shows from season one because it is an 'issue' episode--promoting a social program like many previous shows.
The episode begins with a young woman (Lockhart), Kathy, being introduced as a capable student in Professor Kingsfield's class--but she also is unusual because she has already been in his class before--or at least part of it. That's because she had been in his class five years earlier but dropped out to get married. Now, she's returning to school--with a child in tow and a husband who is now an -ex. Her struggle balancing school and a shortage of daycare is the theme of this show. And, her new friends get behind her and are helping her to push for the right to day care from the university. Where does Kingsfield stand? Well, it's hard to say...see the show and find out for yourself.
Overall, this is an average sort of episode--neither great nor bad. Mostly, it's a nice chance to see Lockhart and she is quite good in the role as a harried mother. Worth while.
