The saga of Brad Penny continues.
vex86bird16 June 2007
Basically a part II to the season opener of PLCL this episode continues the threat of Brad Penny theme. As with the title "Cape Flamingo" this episode is a "Cape Fear" style episode. Instead of an episode consisting of Parker Lewis being pummeled at every turn Brad Penny instead is incredibly nice to Parker. The more Parker worries for his life the more Brad also absorbs Parker's friends. Paranoia consumes Parker as he's sure there is an alterer motive to Brad, but everyone else only sees the nice new guy Brad appears to be. From the beginning the crew is planning Parker's birthday party at Mikey's new place where the Brad story is bound to culminate. Is Parker's paranoia real or has Brad turned a new leaf and reformed his ways? Without ruining the episode I'll leave it at that. The episode seems a little long and drawn out plus it's another episode where Parker isn't in control thus killing his character's edge.

The Penny drops

Warning: Spoilers
Anyway, Cape Flamingo is a send-up of sorts of Cape Fear (the reboot one) as this episode is like part two, part one being Flamingo Graffiti. Anyway, here Parker is on the edge of paranoia thinking that Brad Penny (played by the late Harold Pruett) is out to get him, but sadly and frustratingly, no-one believes Parker. Anyway, so what do we have, well I think the monkey sub-plot involving Kubiac didn't really go anywhere, but still, I guess the writers were working hard to transition to season three where the emphasis was on relationships.

Parker fesses up to his prank from Flamingo Graffiti, but still Brad tries to one-up Parker.
