Responsible for their Mistakes

Warning: Spoilers
Season 4 keeps in the good line with the necessary level of drama. Sarah realizes that she will be interrogated in the case, about everything, the night of the accident, Callie, the relationship with Bailey, so if he goes to jail, inadvertently she would be the one who sends him there. For all this, she wants to lie in her testimony to protect Bailey, while the family needs much money to pay for the process of defending him (to pay the lawyer), pondering about selling Diana's piano and many stuff from the house. But Bailey takes the responsibility and decides declare himself guilty to prevent Sarah from lying in court and save money for the family. This way, he makes a deal: he will be charged with felony, but he won't go to prison, he'll be in probation, community service and without driver's license for a year. The judge reluctantly accepts it, but is adamant that if Bailey commits another crime, he will go to prison. All of his scenes were great, he admitted his crime and that will haunt him forever. When he talks to Charlie and Claudia about all this was excellent. At the end, still mad at her parents, Sarah decides to move out her home and stay for a while in the Salinger house. She probably rushed in her decision of moving with the Salingers, but it's true that her parents doesn't trust her and that's a mistake. It's a hard situation for everyone but considering that now they lost Sarah, they should have thought well how to act.

Charlie had a great story too. He supported Bailey and was willing to defend him at all costs but in the end he accepted his selfless choice. He admitted to Owen that Bailey is brave enough, a good man (at least now). The story with Jenny, the teacher at daycare/preschool, was a little strange but Charlie made the right choice. Other parents said their children got hurt and didn't want to return to daycare or see Jenny, but other parents and Charlie checked their own children with doctors, and they were fine (Owen is fine). In the parent meeting, some revealed that Jenny had a shoplifting charge 20 years ago, using it as a reason not to trust her (I'm not sure what's the connection with this and possible children abuse). Jenny pleads Charlie not to take Owen away, but she says she doesn't know how the two children got hurt. At the end, he decides to send Owen somewhere else, telling to Jenny that Owen is the most important person he has to take care of, and he won't risk his safety with anyone. He took responsibility for Owen although he knows he's not a wonderful father. Jenny didn't give any explanation so that's why she's left alone. Nobody knows what happened to the hurt child. Charlie did everything right here, he knew that Jenny could be innocent, but if he is not sure, why take the chance? Besides, his speech was wonderful, proving how much he loves Owen, his "first child", this has to be remembered, especially in late season 5. This is the Man that his parents and his lost wife would be proud of.

As for the sisters, Julia has problems with a guy friend of Griffin who stays for a few days with them, but the guy is sexist and tells Griffin that he doesn't have to clean or cook. It's strange this case because in the past seasons, Julia used to cook many times for the family. Of course that is her choice what to do in the house, but I never saw her uncomfortable in cooking or cleaning. Griffin acted well, standing up and defending her at the end. They decided they will divide the chores in their home, which is the right thing. On the other hand, Claudia still has a crush on Reed, a football player, but isn't sure how it's going to be. The problem is that the crush is deep, as she spies his locker and his books to make conversation. It's good that Sarah now is in the house, because I know that Claudia would need a woman there to talk about this stuff. Sadly, she won't stay there.

Past Imperfect (#4.2)

Warning: Spoilers
Bailey goes on with the trial and Sarah doesn't want to be a witness against him. Some parents are worried about day care and take their kids out of there. Julia and Griffin have some trouble when a friend of his starts getting in the way. Claudia has a crush.

The story about the trial was really good. I kind of wished it would go on longer, but they made it pretty perfect.

I also liked the story about the day care. I feel very bad for the teacher. Nothing she has done seems to be wrong. At the same time we could understand what Charlie said at the end when talking to her. It was very well written. I still hope that she and her work will be saved. I am sure she is innocent especially since Owen likes school so much.
